The Charleston Figure Skating Club has been chartered since 1960. Its mission is to provide programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating. Club members skate out of the South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena, located just off Route 119 in the Trace Fork shopping center. The Club has members of all ages. Charleston Figure Skating Club members are also members of the United States Figure Skating Association. Our members skate both recreationally and competitively and come from the Charleston and Huntington areas, including eastern Kentucky.

CFSC would like to congratulate Holly Dearnell and Isabelle McEhinny for winning gold at the U.S. Figure Skating’s 2017 National Solo Dance Series Final in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  These young ladies have worked hard and make their club and coaches very proud!

CFSC had two Members participate in the 2017 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships held in Wake Forest, NC.   We would like to congratulate Amanda McGowan on her silver metal for her bronze freeskate program and pewter metal for her show case and Patti May on her bronze metal for her bronze freeskate program.  You both represented us well and made us very proud.

CFSC would like to congratulate Morgan Perrine and Dave Sweeney for winning their partnered dance event at the 2017 Midwestern Sectionals.  Unfortunately Morgan and Dave were unable to participate in the 2017 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships due to Morgan breaking a bone during her light entertainment show case during sectionals.  Wishing Morgan a speedy recovery.
