T
he Charleston Figure Skating Club has been chartered
since 1960. Its mission is to provide programs
to encourage participation and achievement in the
sport of figure skating. Club
members skate out of the
South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena, located just off Route 119 in the Trace
Fork shopping center.
The Club has members of all ages. Charleston Figure Skating Club members
are also members of the
United States Figure Skating Association.
Our members skate both recreationally and competitively
and come from the Charleston/Huntington areas, including eastern Kentucky.
Events
The Charleston Figure Skating Club holds two to three
test sessions a year for skaters to advance up through the USFSA’s
test levels. The Club also sponsors at least two ice show
exhibitions per year: a holiday show and a spring show.
The Club sponsors Moutain State Synchro Skate on the third Saturday in November.
